Celtic have had some high-profile exits in recent years. Matt O'Riley left last summer for a transfer package believed to be in the region of £30 million. The year before that, Jota had departed for a then Scottish-record £25 million fee in order to join Al-Ittihad. Kieran Tierney had moved to Arsenal for the same figure back in 2019.

Interestingly, the latter will be playing for the Hoops next season. Jota already made his return to Celtic in the winter and has made a bright start to his second spell with the club. On the other hand, Tierney has already agreed to a pre-contract and will make the trip back to his boyhood team once his contract at Arsenal runs out in the summer.

On the other hand, there are some big players being linked with moves away as well. It makes perfect sense, especially when you consider the success that Celtic enjoyed in the UEFA Champions League this season.

Nicolas Kuhn was perhaps the standout performer of that campaign. He scored a brace against RB Leipzig in the group phase. And then, he found the back of the net against Bayern Munich in the 1-1 away draw at the Allianz Arena.

Kuhn's form has been superb in domestic competitions as well. So, it is natural that he has been linked with plenty of clubs lately.

One of them is believed to be Newcastle United, who are said to be scouting him. As reported by Football Insider, Paul Robinson said:

"So, he’s a player that’s, with no disrespect to Celtic, but if the Premier League go knocking, then they’ve got the funds to be able to do it.

“They could do it at 25 [million], he’s a player who’s ready.

“Put him in the Newcastle squad now, does he play every week? I’m not sure he does."

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kuhn. To be very honest, Celtic fans are pretty used to seeing the club's best players leave. But one would hope that they at least bring in a record fee, if the German winger does depart after his elite displays in the Champions League.
