Well, it has been a rather newsworthy morning if you are a Celtic fan. A lot of the talk in recent days has been about changes taking place behind the scenes at Parkhead after what was one of their all-time worst summer transfer windows. But there have also been fears that there could be a change in the dugout.
Brendan Rodgers leaving the club is the last thing any Celtic fan would want right now. But after that summer transfer window, nobody would blame the manager if he was considering the idea of an exit.
Nottingham Forest were believed to be one of the clubs that wanted Rodgers as their next manager. And last night, it was confirmed that the club had decided to part ways with Nuno Espirito Santo, further raising those fears.
Fortunately, there is some good news for Celtic. In fact, a double boost. As reported by David Ornstein, Ange Postecoglou is set to be confirmed as the Nottingham Forest head coach imminently. The Australian will lead them for Saturday’s trip to Arsenal.

Well, that saga was concluded swiftly. Perhaps Celtic can take a page out of Nottingham Forest's book in future dealings.
Of course, the move for Postecoglou means that Rodgers is set to stay put at Celtic. Naturally, that has to be considered a boost for the club.
Since returning, Rodgers has always maintained that he plans to see out his three-year contract. We are in the final 12 months and one can only hope that he sticks to his initial plan although that summer transfer window would have been enough to change a lot of managers' minds.
Secondly, most Celtic fans will be happy to see Postecoglou back in the game. The Australian was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season despite guiding them to the Europa League. It remains to be seen what he can achieve at Nottingham Forest. Whatever he has done so far has proven to be box office, so we will keep an eye out for sure.
