There has already been plenty of transfer activity at Celtic Park this summer but the Hoops are showing no signs of wanting to stop anytime soon, both in terms of arrivals and exits. Admittedly, the fans have been left a bit underwhelmed by the signings that have been made lately. Kieran Tierney arrived as a free agent and the pre-contract had been in place for months. That being said, Benjamin Nygren's display against Sporting CP has raised expectations surrounding him.

One can only hope that Celtic make a statement signing or two before this summer transfer window closes. Last time around, they did splash on bringing Adam Idah and Arne Engels. Of course, one could argue that that is proof that big-money signings do not always have the impact that is expected of them.

On the other hand, Celtic are working on exits as well. And it looks like they are close to a deal that will see a Brendan Rodgers signing leave on an initial loan with an option to buy included.

As reported by Sebastian Staszewski, Luis Palma is close to joining Lech Poznan. The Celtic winger could move to the Polish club on a one-year loan. Talks are ongoing and if it goes through, it’ll be a big deal and the agreement is expected to include a buyout clause around €4.5 million.

That €4.5 million clause would be significant in Poland. The current record there current stands at around €3 million.

So, Palma would have to put in a special performance to convince Lech Poznan to trigger that. Let's see how things go.

Of course, we cannot get ahead of ourselves. The deal is not complete yet and hopefully, it is one that will not drag on for weeks.
