This summer transfer window could be a busy period for Celtic. There are several positions across the pitch where they are looking to strengthen. One of them is believed to be striker. Daizen Maed has stepped in well since the departure of Kyogo in the winter and Adam Idah has shown signs of form as well, scoring thrice in the last two games. But the Hoops need a proper third option in that position.
Johnny Kenny returned in the winter after a successful loan spell at Shamrock Rovers. But it looks like he is not ready to make a proper impact on the team yet and has only played a handful of minutes.
So, it would not be a surprise if Kenny is sent out on loan once again in the summer. On the other hand, the Hoops could look to sign another striker to take his spot in the squad.
Most Celtic fans are hoping for a proven name to be brought in to compete with Maeda and Idah. On the contrary, it looks like the Hoops are eyeing a youngster currently playing for Hearts.
Celtic want to sign international record-breaker from Hearts
As reported by Chronicle Live, James Wilson of Hearts is on the radar of both Celtic and Rangers. Newcastle United are keen on the striker as well.
Wilson broke the record for Scotland when he became the youngster player to feature for them at the full international level. He has been a regular contributor for Hearts as well.
So, it is not hard to see why the talented youngster is drawing so much interest. He still has a few years left on his contract with Hearts though, meaning that if any club wants to sign him, they would have to negotiate a transfer fee with his club.
