Celtic are heading towards the January transfer window in a fantastic position. They have already secured their first silverware of the season by winning the Scottish League Cup. The Hoops also hold a commanding 12-point lead in the Premiership title race after the Rangers lost against St Mirren in midweek. And there is a genuine chance that Brendan Rodgers' side could make it to the next phase of the Champions League.
The quest to improve never stops at a club like Celtic though. So, expect them to at least make a few additions to the squad in January.
Signing another winger is believed to be the priority for the club next month with Luis Palma expected to leave after struggling for playing time. But could they end up strengthening in the middle of the park as well after some underwhelming midfield performances in recent weeks?
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are expected to make a move to sign an out-of-favour Chelsea duo in the January transfer window. The Hoops are monitoring Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Celtic want to sign Chelsea duo in January transfer window
Chukwuemeka has been linked with Celtic for quite some time now. He is struggling for playing time at Stamford Bridge at the moment and an exit, whether on loan or permanently, is expected to take place next month.
Dewsbury-Hall is a fresh name to be linked with Celtic though. It was just in the summer that Chelsea shelled out a significant figure to sign him from Leicester City.
Dewsbury-Hall had already worked with and performed under Enzo Maresca. So, the expectation was that he would get plenty of playing time at Chelsea. That has not turned out to be the case though and as a result, he might already be looking towards the exit door.
