Celtic have made a perfect start to their domestic campaign, the less said about what has happened in Europe the better, so will that continue? On Saturday, Martin O'Neill's team put in a pretty underwhelming performance, but managed to beat Falkirk 2-1, thanks to Camilo Durán's first half double.
This maintains the Hoops' perfect record in the Premiership this season, having also battled to a 1-0 victory over Dundee and then demolished Kilmarnock 5-1. However, this is the start of a crucial 18 day period for the champions.
After this, the Celts face away trips to St Mirren and St Johnstone, before back-to-back Old Firm derbies, travelling to Ibrox in the League Cup before a Premiership clash at Celtic Park. In between the two Glasgow derbies, they will also commence their Europa League campaign against Ferencváros, while Derek McInnes' side will have a free week, because, well you know why. First and foremost, will the Hoops be too strong here?
As for Aberdeen, they are actually tenth in the Premiership table right now, not where they want to be at all. On Sunday, the Dons battled hard, but were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Rangers at Pittodrie. Lawrence Shankland's spot-kick, mid-way through the second half of a match that desperately lacked any semblance of quality, was all that separated the two sides.
That is now back-to-back Premiership defeats for Stephen Robinson's side, putting in a miserable performance as they were defeated 2-1 by Dundee at Dens. The Reds' comeback 2-1 victory over Hearts on the opening day, scoring twice, feels a long time ago now.
Aberdeen being demolished at Celtic Park feels like a bi-annual event, and there is little reason to suggest that will not be the case again.

Alistair Johnston remains sidelined semi-long-term, while Callum Osmand will also be in the treatment room for "a few weeks". Meantime, left-back Kieran Tierney and striker Kasper Høgh will also miss this one, with assisant manager Shaun Maloney confriming on Tuesday that both should be back for Saturday night's trip to Paisley.
In better news, Callum McGregor will return; he sat out the win over Falkirk due to illness. Winger Yang Hyun-jun remains available but not for long, set to head to Japan soon for the Asian Games which commence on 15 September.

Stephen Robinson remains without injured duo Mats Knoester and Kristers Tobers, while striker Kusini Yengi has just joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima on a season-long loan.
Stuart Armstrong could come into the XI against his former side, while the Dons' attacking hopes will be pinned on Kevin Nisbet. He has netted ten times across all competitions already this season, despite seeing one controversially ruled out on Sunday, looking to add to his five against Celtic.
