Like every summer, Celtic are expected to part ways with quite a few players in this transfer window as well. That is just how things are at clubs of this size. It is very difficult to get into the team and even tougher to maintain one's place in it, with the pressure to win every game. As a result, many end up struggling to find their feet at Parkhead and leave in search of playing time.

Several players are out on loan at the moment for that same reason. And there are a few others, currently part of Brendan Rodgers' first-team squad, who could be eyeing the exit door as well.

Of course, in the majority of these cases, it makes sense for both parties to part ways. But on some occasions, one is left scratching their heads as to why Celtic would entertain the idea of an exit. This feels like one such occasion.

As reported by Sky Sports, it's understood that Marco Tilio is one of the players the club will be open to offers for. The others are Luis Palma, Gustaf Lagerbielke, Stephen Welsh and Hyeok-kyu Kwon.

Tilio's name sticks out in that list. Firstly, because he has done exceptionally well on loan at Melbourne City. Secondly, because Celtic might need a player of his profile at the moment.

Jota is out injured and is set to spend the next six to nine months out. On the other hand, there has been speculation about the future of Nicolas Kuhn, who could turn out to be Celtic's big-money exit this summer.

In this situation, why would Celtic consider the idea of Tilio leaving? He has done well on loan and it feels like he deserves a chance to show what he can do in the green-and-white jersey. If he fails, then parting ways would make a lot more sense.

Of course, the club might feel that this is the right time to part ways and bring in a decent transfer fee if possible. That is what they did with Alexandro Bernabei and just six months later, he could get an even bigger move to La Liga.
