Jota's long-term injury means that Celtic might need to go after another winger this summer. Of course, it is not just about the Portuguese ace either. Nicolas Kuhn has been heavily linked with a move away from Parkhead as well and reports down in England have suggested that he might be Brentford's first-choice to replace Bryan Mbeumo, if he does end up leaving for Manchester United.

Of course, in that scenario, signing another winger would become even more vital for Celtic. Yang Hyun-jun has shown flashes of quality but remains very inconsistent with his output. Marco Tilio did well on loan but will that translate to the Scottish game? Will he even return to Parkhead with there being talks over another loan spell at Melbourne City FC?

So, Celtic might need to look outside the club for their next winger. And a scouting report from CeltsAreHere posted in April had provided a very intriguing option.

One of the names on it was that of Andres Martin. He currently plays in the Spanish second divison with Racing Santander.

Racing Santander's season is not over yet and they are still in the running to be promoted to La Liga. One of the main reasons behind that has been the form of Martin.

He has scored 17 goals and provided 17 assists this season. That is an exceptional return from a winger and the kind of output Celtic expect from their starter on the flank.

Of course, no reports have linked Celtic to Martin yet. It remains to be seen if interest develops at some point in the summer transfer window, as the situation around Kuhn becomes clearer. For now, it looks like the Hoops' focus is on other transfer targets. Let's see if they can get some deals agreed.
