Celtic are always on the lookout for stars of the future. The club do not have the financial ability to compete with players at the top of their games. So, it makes more sense for them to go out and bring in those who have the potential to grow at Parkhead and then move on for significantly higher transfer fees in the future.
One such supertalent looks set to be on the move soon. And it might open the door for Celtic to go out and sign him.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Roony Bardghji has not agreed on a new deal at FC Copenhagen and is not expected to sign a fresh contract at the club. Many clubs are interested in the Swedish talent.
So, it looks like FC Copenhagen might have to part with Bardghji for a bargain fee this summer. Otherwise, he will leave as a free agent, with his contract running out at the end of 2025. 67 Hail Hail have tipped Celtic to make a move.
Celtic tipped to sign Swedish player as Fabrizio Romano confirms news
Not too long ago, Bardghji was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea. If those type of clubs come in for him this summer, it is hard to imagine that Celtic will have much of a chance signing the Swedish supertalent.
Still just 19 years of age, Bardghji has already made 84 appearances for FC Copenhagen. He has scored 15 goals and provided one assist, scoring once in the Champions League as well.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bardghji. If Celtic do have any chance of signing him, they should go for it. It is worth remembering that he suffered a serious injury not too long ago and only returned recently, which might have reduced the interest in his signature.
