The striker situation at Celtic is an interesting one. Daizen Maeda has done an amazing job since being moved centrally and has 30 goals to his name already this season. Adam Idah was signed last summer as well, for a transfer package believed to be in the region of £9.5 million, a significant figure for the Hoops. That being said, the club did not replace Kyogo, who left in the winter.

Celtic were linked with quite a few strikers in the winter but did not end up signing any of them. And there have been suggestions that they might not even look to sign one in the summer following impressive performances from Maeda in that position.

One should not rule the possibility out though. And it looks like one of their transfer targets from January could be available in the summer.

As reported by TUTTOmercatoWEB, in January there was talk of a possible transfer, with Celtic asking for information. Slovan Bratislava's answer was simple, he was not transferable until June. He is now valued between €5 million and €7 million.

Celtic came up against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League this season. Strelec played on that day in what was a 5-1 loss for the visitors.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Strelec. He has scored 17 goals and provided 7 assists so far this season and looks like a player who could be a good addition for the Hoops.

Of course, it all depends on whether Celtic are even looking to sign a striker in the summer. Based on their performance at the weekend, when they failed to score against the second-worst defence in the league, the Hoops could certainly do with another option up top.
