The transfer market is like a game of dominoes. One move could have an effect on several other teams. That might be the case with Celtic and everything has happened at Tottenham Hotspur over the summer. Of course, the fans had their eyes on Ange Postecoglou's departure, which did not sit well with many.

But it is Tottenham Hotspur's appointment of Thomas Frank as Postecoglou's replacement that might have a bigger impact on Celtic. Not only on exits but incomings as well.

We have already talked about how Frank's departure could lead to Bryan Mbeumo's exit as well. And reports down in England suggest that Brentford are viewing Nicolas Kuhn as the ideal replacement for him. Let's see if the Bees make a move.

On the other hand, could Frank's move work in favour for the Hoops as well. 67 Hail Hail have questioned whether the manager's departure increases Kris Ajer's chances of leaving Brentford even further, and returning to Celtic this summer.

A report in March from The Celtic Star had claimed that Brendan Rodgers had been in the ear of Ajer. And not just once.

Combine that with the fact that his Norwegian international manager, Stale Solbakken, has openly asked him to leave Brentford and the idea makes a lot of an exit, and a possible return, makes a lot of sense. Let's see how it plays out.

Ajer is a fantastic talent, there is no doubt about. So, it is not hard to imagine why Rodgers might be keen on reuniting with him, just like he has managed to do with Kieran Tierney.

At 27 years of age, Ajer is only entering his prime. And having spent the last four seasons playing Premier League football, he should be a better player now. The bigger question is, does a the idea of a return to Celtic appeal to him?

Ajer might have spent several years at Celtic but he surely does not have the connection with the club that a boyhood fan like Tierney does. That makes the possibility of a return much slimmer.
