Return has been the word of the month when it comes to Celtic. Kieran Tierney will make one in the summer when his contract at Arsenal runs out, having already agreed a pre-contract agreement. He might not be the only one though. Kyogo Furuhashi has been linked with a move back to Parkhead as well, having failed to establish himself at Rennes. The likes of Kris Ajer and Odsonne Edouard have been suggested as potential transfer targets as well.
Could a change happen in the dugout as well? Brendan Rodgers has made it clear on more than one occasion that he is not planning to leave Celtic before the end of his contract, which runs until the summer of 2026. That has not stopped him from being linked with a move to the Premier League though.
In the hypothetical situation that Rodgers does leave Celtic, who would the club replace him with? It won't be an easy task that is for sure.
Ange Postecoglou could be a potential solution though. The Australian could be available in the summer as he is widely expected to be sacked by Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season. As reported by Football Insider, Giorgos Karagounis said:
"One day I think we will see him back there."
Celtic tipped for blockbuster return nobody is expecting
It goes without saying that not many Celtic fans would want to see a change in the dugout at this moment. Rodgers is doing a good job. Not only are the Hoops still in contention for a treble but they showed progress in the Champions League as well.
That being said, if a replacement was required at any point, Postecoglou would be the perfect choice. He won five trophies in his two seasons at Parkhead and under much more difficult circumstances.
Postecoglou had to see a complete squad rebuild following the 20/21 campaign, in which Celtic finished trophyless. And one could argue that his team were a lot more entertaining to watch than this current side.
