Celtic have been linked with quite a few players, all across the pitch, as we head towards the summer transfer window. One of the areas where the Hoops will need to improve is the wing. There are multiple reasons behind that. Firstly, Jota has suffered a long-term injury and will remain out of action for as many as nine months. Secondly, there is a very real possibility that Nicolas Kuhn could depart at the end of the 24/25 campaign.

So, Celtic might need to sign not one but perhaps two or three wingers in the summer. Naturally, expect quite a few names to crop up over the coming weeks and months.

One of the wingers Celtic had been linked with is Zeidane Inoussa. The 22-year-old has been a standout performer since joining Hacken in early 2024. In 36 appearances for the club, he has scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists.

So, it is not hard to see why Celtic might be interested in signing Inoussa. Unfortunately, the Swedish winger is headed elsewhere. The move has even been officially announced, ending any hopes the Hoops might have had of signing him.

As reported by Swansea City's official website, the club have reached an agreement to complete the signing of Inoussa from BK Hacken for an undisclosed fee. The Swede will put pen to paper on a five-year deal and formally join the English side when his contract comes into effect on July 1.

Swansea City are currently in the English Championship and finished 11th this season. But a bit more improvement and they could be in playoff contention in the 25/26 campaign. Will Inoussa be the player to provide them with that push? We will find out.

As for Celtic, they will have to move their sights elsewhere. There are a few other wingers that Celtic have been linked with lately. Michel-Ange Balikwisha of Royal Antwerp and Sondre Orjeseter of Sarpsborg 08 are names that come to mind immediately in this regard.

Celtic will need to find a replacement for a winger who was scoring consistently from the flank despite not being at his very best. Jota had found the back of the net five times since arriving in late January and having played little to no football over the previous 18 months. Finding someone to take his spot, even if for the next six to nine months, won't be an easy task.
