It is no secret that Celtic need a striker in January. Perhaps more than one to be very honest. They never replaced Kyogo, when he left last winter in order to join Rennes. And in the summer, they allowed Adam Idah to leave late in the window and then failed to complete a move for Kasper Dolberg, who decided to join Ajax instead.

As a result, Celtic have little to no depth up top. Johnny Kenny finds himself as the starter there and to be fair, he has scored a few goals. That being said, he might not be ready to start for a club of this magnitude, like we saw against St Mirren.

So, it might be a good idea to sign another striker in the winter. They might have a few interesting options to choose from.

Niclas Fullkrug is someone who has failed to settle in the Premier League since joining West Ham United from Borussia Dortmund. He could be looking to leave in the winter but having scored just three goals since moving to London, a loan spell to rediscover his form might not be a bad idea either.

It is unlikely that Celtic will go out and pay a transfer fee to sign a 32-year-old striker. But signing him on a loan deal might be a feasible idea, if they are able to convince him to head to Glasgow.

Do not let his spell at West Ham United fool you, Fullkrug knows his way to the back of the net. He was scoring consistently in the Bundesliga not too long ago.

His record with the German national team is pretty impressive as well. In 24 games for them, he has managed to score 14 times, which is an excellent record.
