Celtic are set to take on Dundee on April 5, with a win being crucial if the Hoops want to continue chasing the Scottish Premiership title.

Martin O'Neill's side is in a difficult position, sitting two points behind Rangers and five points behind Hearts, but things aren't over yet. With some games left to play, there are exciting yet terrifying things to come, and now, Dens Park boss Steven Pressley has started the mind games.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I know it will always take from us, a perfect performance to win these types of games. Anything short of that, we’ll not win.

"You also always need a degree of luck against the Old Firm. But we’ve certainly shown we’re capable of that.

"There is a belief around this group of players that regardless of the opposition, we can be a real match for anybody, and that’s been a really refreshing part of managing this group.

"But it will take an enormous performance against a very much wounded animal after losing to Dundee Utd. They’ll be looking to bounce back, and if they still have aspirations to win the league, then they’ll know they have to beat ourselves.

"It makes it a really interesting game, but we’ve got our own pride and our own situation that we need to take care of. [Celtic are vulnerable], but that’s when they’re at their most dangerous.

"Celtic have proved time and again how resilient they are as a club and a team, so it will take a top performance from ourselves. If we don’t give that type of performance, then we’ll not win the game."

Celtic will need to be at their best

Celtic will need to be at their best if they want to win this game. We have to keep the pressure on them for the entire 90 minutes, never giving them a moment to breathe, and hopefully, put a few past them in the process.

Calling Celtic a 'wounded animal' is harsh, but correct. After the loss at Tannadice, fans have been debating whether the title race is over yet, but even captain Callum McGregor still believes that a title win is possible.

Martin O'Neill will have been working with the team to give them the best chance possible for this game. Everyone looked tired and disappointed after the difficult match last time out, but hopefully, they can bounce back and get three points on the road.
