Celtic are said to have agreed their next signing after Kasper Hogh. The Bhoys are finally showing signs of sparking their summer transfer window to life, having made it to this point with just one new signing.
Camilo Duran was the first in, joining on a ÂŁ5.5million move from Qarabag, and the new frontman scored in the friendly with AC Milan on Saturday, but the Bhoys need more, and fans have been left hugely frustrated with this summer's approach.
Finally, breakthroughs are being made, and it looks as though an initial ÂŁ11million deal with Bodo/Glimt has been struck over the signing of in-form Danish striker Hogh, and the business won't end there.
Celtic now closing in on Hassan deal
According to Greek journalist, Celtic are now closing in on a deal to sign Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan, who has now agreed personal terms with the club.
He posted on X: "After Hogh, set to finalise another huge signing with Haissem Hassan. Egyptian star has accepted the offer from for a 4-years contract and also ready to give permission. There are some bonus that are still under negotiation."
The deal is understood to be around ÂŁ6million, but we will await further confirmation before reporting a fee, given it is still unclear. Villarreal will bring in a chunk of that fee having sold Hassan to Oviedo and reserved a sell-on clause in the player's deal.
Hassan never quite made it with the Yellow Submarine, but he was a regular for Oviedo in their first season back in La Liga last term, which ended in relegation. The winger then went on to impress for Egypt at the World Cup and was clearly one of their standout players in the competition.
It's unclear whether he caught the eye of Celtic there or with his performances for Oviedo, but the forward featured more eye-catching displays.
Hassan is still only 24 years of age, and he can appear a little raw at times, but he has the speed and trickery to become a dangerous winger, especially at Scottish Premiership level. What the winger is missing is regular production in the way of goals and assists, and Martin O'Neill will be hoping to get that out of him.
Hassan showed what he can do in space at the World Cup, and with respect to the Premiership, the winger should get more space to do his thing compared to LaLiga.
