Once again, Celtic fans must keep a close eye on the exit door during this transfer window. Of course, they’ll want to see new faces arriving. But it’s important to understand who is leaving the squad as well, whether that be on loan or as a permanent move. And this winter, there could be quite a few departing.

It’s always the case that some moves to the club just don't work out as well as planned. However, fans need to have some patience and understanding as new players take time to settle.

Otherwise, based on his very early form, Nicolas Kuhn would have been heading out very quickly. But look at how much improvement he has made this season and established himself as the club's talisman.

For some players though there has been plenty of time and patience. From fans and from Brendan Rodgers too. And when that runs out, an exit is often not too far away. That’s been the case for Alexandro Bernabei, who looks set for a permanent exit.

Celtic star on way out reveals change in attitude

As reported by Ole (via Daily Record), an initial transfer fee of around £4.5 million has been agreed after Benabei was named the best left-back in Brazil last season. That figure could rise to £5 million with add-ons. And speaking to the same outlet, the Argentine said:

"I changed my attitude, my desire to improve every day when it was my turn. I had the best with my teammates and I never stopped learning.

"The full-back position is a position that is highly regarded in Brazil. Coming to the Brazil helped me a lot because of the way of playing with the ball, with full-backs who are very high up. The vast majority of full-backs attack."

There have been many stories suggesting that Bernabei's attitude in Glasgow was not the best. Sleeping in for a training session appears to be one example and there are likely to have been more. It’s good that he recognises the need to learn and develop, but that's too little too late for his time at Celtic.

The player's references to the way full-backs play in Brazil also indicate that the game there suits his style far better than the Scottish Premiership. That’s all very well, but it does take you back to that point about learning and developing.
