There is some bad news for Celtic. The Hoops will be hoping to keep the core of their team together this summer. Unfortunately, it looks like that won't be happening, as plenty of their players are being linked with moves away from Parkhead. And with every passing day, one of them seems to be inching closer towards the exit door.

Celtic are sure to make one signing this summer. That is of Kieran Tierney, who has decided that the timing is right to return to his boyhood club and already put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement.

On the other hand, it looks like Tierney's arrival is going to facilitate the departure of Greg Taylor. He is out of contract this summer, has not signed an extension and has no lack of clubs interested in his signature.

As reported by Greek outlet Sportal, PAOK have made an official offer to Taylor and the Scottish left-back is their primary target to strengthen their defensive line. The deal includes a two-year contract, with an option to extend for another year, and significantly improved salaries compared to what he was receiving at Celtic.

At 27 years of age, Taylor is pretty much in his prime. So, the length of the contract does seem a bit short, to be honest. Other than that, everything else makes sense for the left-back.

Of course, Celtic fans are hoping that he remains at the club. But perhaps, at this point in his career, Taylor does not want to be stuck as a backup option, which is understandable considering that he is used to being a starter.

Let's see where he ends up this summer. At this point, it looks increasingly unlikely that the Scotsman will extend his stay at Celtic though.

If he indeed is on his way out, we would like to wish him the best of luck, wherever he ends up next. Taylor has not always gotten the credit he deserves for his contribution to the club's success in recent years.
