Celtic have faced a very difficult time promoting their academy and developmental standouts to the senior team. Quite a few of them make an appearance or a few but ultimately, it has not led to a long and successful career at Parkhead. As a result, many have chosen to leave the club in search of chances elsewhere.
Now, another Celtic youngster has decided that he does not have a future at Parkhead. In fact, he does not see a future for himself in football at all.
Bruno Davidson has given up football to pursue his fashion business. The youngster has decided to launch his own fashion business, 'Bruno Narducci'.
Davidson announced his decision on Instagram. It is one that might confuse many but it looks like it is not something that has come out of nowhere and has been in the works for a while.
Celtic player announces decision to quit football
Davidson wrote regarding his decision to quit football for fashion on Instagram:
"I’m excited to finally share that I’ve made the decision to step away from football to fully pursue my passion for fashion and launch my own clothing brand."
He further went on to add regarding the unexpected move:
"This has been in the works for a while, but the time feels right to announce it now. For those who know me, you know this isn’t a sudden shift, my decision was made over a long period of time and was well thought out and planned. This is something I’ve been passionate about for years, and now I’m ready to take that next step.
A huge thank you to @celticfc for the memories, the friendships, the experiences and the lessons that shaped me."
We can only wish Davidson the best of luck in his next adventure. Hopefully, he finds all the success possible in the fashion world.
Of course, this seems to be a special situation and not one Celtic could have done much about it. That being said, one cannot overlook all the players who have chosen to leave the club in recent years before him. Things need to change in that regard and as soon as possible. It is not ideal for it to change in this manner for much longer.
The likes of Ben Doak, Rocco Vata and Daniel Kelly have left in recent years. And it looks like Daniel Cunmings is set to leave in the summer as well, with West Ham United emerging as the favourites to sign him.
