Cameron Carter-Vickers is a central figure at Celtic and that has been the case ever since his arrival in the summer of 2021. The American had initially arrived at Parkhead on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. He immediately established himself as a starter for the Hoops and has held on to that position ever since. He was also signed on a permanent basis after the season.

Over time, he has developed into a brilliant centre-back for Celtic and he has also become a leader at the back for this team. Whenever he misses games, you can clearly see that the Hoops do not look as assured at the back.

Of course, Carter-Vickers already has plenty of experience of playing in England. While he did not make a lot of appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, he spent quite a bit of time out on loan at lower division sides.

As a result, it should come as no surprise that a number of teams around England are believed to be keeping an eye on him. We have learned more about the identity of the teams hoping to sign the Celtic defenders.

As reported by TBR Football, Aston Villa, Brighton, Everton and Crystal Palace are amongst the sides to have watched Carter-Vickers in recent months. The MLS are believed to be open to bringing in the defender as well.

Let's see how things play out for Carter-Vickers over the coming weeks and months as we head towards the summer transfer window. Celtic fans will be hoping that there is not much to the speculation.

Celtic do not have someone capable of replacing Carter-Vickers, if he did end up leaving in the summer. So, they will want him to stay. In case of a departure, a quality replacement will have to be brought in.
