Celtic might need to shake up their centre-back options in the summer transfer window. Auston Trusty was signed last year but has not been completely convincing so far as a starter. Lately, he seems to have fallen behind Liam Scales in the pecking order and dropped out of the starting XI. The American international was an unused substitute at Ibrox.

That is not the end of Celtic's issues at centre-back though. There are quite a few of them who might be headed for the exit door soon.

Gustaf Lagerbielke is out on loan at FC Twente, while Stephen Welsh is with KV Mechelen. Both of them are candidates for permanent exits in the summer. On the other hand, Maik Nawrocki has not gotten too many minutes despite impressing when given a chance. So, it might be best for him to part ways as well.

On the other hand, there have been suggestions that Celtic are very interested in signing Red Star centre-back Veljko Milosavljevic. The Scottish champions have inquired about potential conditions for a summer move, but have been told that the player is not available for transfer. That could yet change at the end of the transfer window.

It is hard to imagine that Milosavljevic would be able to come in and become a regular starter for Celtic from the off. After all, he is just 17 years of age right now.

But he has already played a bit of senior level football. And judging from the amount of interest in his signature, it looks like he has been pretty impressive in those performances.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Milosavljevic. For now, it looks like Celtic are interested in the 6'4" centre-back but they are not the only ones.
