Celtic have made Nicolas Kuhn summer exit decision
Nicolas Kuhn has been the star of the show for Celtic so far this season. The German winger has 21 goal contributions to his name in just 17 appearances. Not many would have seen this run of form coming from him, after an unremarkable first six months with the club after joining from Rapid Vienna in January.
Not only is Kuhn performing at the domestic level in Scotland but in Europe as well. He recently scored a brace against RB Leipzig in the Champions League to help Celtic to a 3-1 win.
Of course, that kind of form has seen Kuhn being linked with a move away from Celtic Park. Clubs like in the Premier League, like Brentford and Fulham, are rumoured to hold an interest and more are expected to follow as we approach the summer transfer window.
An exit in the middle of the season feels very unlikely. Will Celtic consider parting ways with Kuhn in the summer though?
Celtic have made Nicolas Kuhn summer exit decision
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic will only part ways with Kuhn for a “pretty hefty fee” in the summer transfer window. Neither Brendan Rodgers nor the board are willing to lose the winger right now.
Kuhn's rise this season has been meteoric to say the very least. Coming into the campaign, his place in the starting XI was not even a guarantee. A few months on and he has to be one of the first names on the team sheet for Rodgers.
Of course, the reality of being a Celtic fan is that the club's best players often end up leaving. That has happened far too many times and the supporters are used to it. That does not make it any easier though and hopefully, Kuhn will be at Parkhead for the foreseeable future.
