Celtic's Champions League campaign is over. The focus must now turn towards the two domestic competitions that are still up for grabs. The Hoops are heavy favourites to win both by the end of the campaign. Then, there is a need to strengthen the squad further in the summer so that this positive European run does not end up being a one-off to look back upon for years to come.
Celtic did not do enough in the winter transfer window. One has to wonder if the result of the Bayern Munich tie would have been different if they had.
It is now in the past though. Celtic must make sure that that mistake is not repeated in the summer and back Brendan Rodgers in the next transfer window.
Kamaldeen Sulemana is one player who the Hoops should keep an eye on. Once one of the brightest talents in world football, the 23-year-old has not exactly flourished since joining Southampton and it might be time for a change in scenery to bring his career back on track.
Celtic must sign 23-year-old Premier League player
Sulemana has been at Southampton for a few years now but never had his breakthrough season. And with the club now looking set to drop down to the Championship, next summer might be the time for him to change teams.
Sulemana was one of the biggest talents in football when he was at Nordsjaelland. There he scored 14 goals and provided 8 assists in 43 appearances. He was linked with teams like Manchester United and Liverpool back then.
He would then end up joining Rennes before ending up at Southampton, where his output has not matched expectations. At international level, he has made 19 appearances for Ghana.
There is no question about his talent. If available for the right transfer fee, Celtic should definitely consider making a move for the 23-year-old next summer.
