Celtic midfielder Mika Baur has been speaking after he and his teammates allowed a four-goal lead and Champions League qualification slip from their grasp on Tuesday night.
The Bhoys took a three-goal lead into the game and made it four on the night, but LASK went on to score five without reply, including one in extra time, to win the tie.
It was a horrific collapse from Celtic, and one they are going to have to answer for over and over again, be it the players, Martin O'Neill or the board. This was an epic failure, and there were plenty of people to blame.
Baur himself had a pretty torrid night, once again playing out of position in a holding midfield role, which is not his strength. It showed. The midfield was given the runaround, leaving the defence exposed over and over again.
Speaking after the game, Baur didn't hide from the responsibility. And he also explained how the dressing room responded after the game. He said: "Yeah, there's not much going on. No one speaks. Everyone is with themselves. At the moment, it's really quiet and really, really sad in the locker room.
"I think we had a really tough day today. We lost a big match, but we have to move on. We need to stay together, even closer than before."
Baur added on the defeat itself: "Yeah, we're really disappointed. In the end, it was not a good match in the second half, especially in the extra time. I'm really, really sad now, at the moment. I think in the first half, everything was okay.
"I think we had parts of the game where we controlled the game. But then we also had some mistakes. We were not that clean with the ball.
"So, even me, every player needs to ask himself if he did everything right today, to be able to see what he has to do better."
This result aside, it will be good to see Baur in his more natural box-to-box midfielder role as time goes on, although it's unclear whether O'Neill's system will allow for it. As things stand, Celtic play with two holding midfielders and an attacking midfielder. Baur struggled in the holding role on Tuesday night, and there may be issues going forward with that if the shape is not tweaked.
But it is early in Baur's time at the club, and Tuesday night was a wake-up call for everyone.
