A number of Celtic players are expected to leave in the upcoming transfer window, as is always the case when the summer comes around. That being said, it is not just on the pitch that changes could take place at Parkhead. It looks like some behind-the-scenes people could be headed down south as well.

Darren O'Dea came through the youth ranks at Celtic. At the senior level, he made 70 appearances for the club.

Ultimately, he went on to have a journeyman playing career that saw him play for Reading, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Dundee, Toronto FC, Blackpool, Mumbai City FC and more. Along the way, he represented the Republic of Ireland national team on 20 occasions as well.

Currently, O'Dea is the professional player pathway manager at Parkhead. But it looks like he might not remain in that role for much longer, with Swansea City chasing his signatute for a coaching role.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Swansea City have launched a move to bring in O’Dea as their assistant manager. The Championship club will make him a big offer and it might be too good to turn down.

Swansea City are under new ownership and seem to be making moves as they look to get back to the Premier League. Even Luka Modric is part of their investment team.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for O'Dea. He does not have a ton of experience when it comes to coaching. He has coached the U18 teams at Motherwell and Celtic, and also the Hoops' B Team. But it is pretty clear that Swansea City rate him pretty highly as a coach and it would not come as a major surprise if he did choose to make the move to the Welsh club.
