There is a lot of activity around Celtic at the moment as the news keeps coming thick and fast. The club had already announced the arrival of Kieran Tierney and recently made the signing of Isaac English from Greenock Morton official as well. And more signings could be on the way with deals believed to be close for Callum Osmand, Benjamin Nygren and Hayato Inamura. Reports coming out of Belgium suggest that they are also in talks to sign Michel-Ange Balikwisha from Royal Antwerp.
Those are quite a few plates that Celtic are spinning at the same time. Looks like they are ready to strengthen Brendan Rodgers' squad significantly this summer.
While Celtic work on new signings, they cannot afford to overlook other aspects. One of them is keeping their best youngsters at the club. That is something they have struggled with in recent times, with many choosing to leave early on rather than wait for their opportunities to come around at Parkhead.
There is some positive news in this aspect though. Celtic have announced that Conor Daly, Michael Charlton and Liam Kennedy have signed their first professional contracts with the club.

Celtic make fantastic triple contract announcement
It is always important to have a local presence in a team like Celtic. The likes of Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Tierney and Anthony Ralston are the heartbeat of this football club. They have come through the youth ranks and made it at the senior level.
Now, the club needs to bring through the next generation of such players who come through their academy. That has proven to be pretty difficult though. And one can understand why.
The Celtic manager is under pressure to win pretty much every game. There is not a lot of room to experiment or take risks. That is why game time has been limited for youngsters, with them deciding to stick to the tried-and-tested.
As a result, we have seen players like Ben Doak, Rocco Vata and plenty others leave the club. This summer. Daniel Cummings will be joining West Ham United after an excellent season with Celtic B. And it is a fair decision, considering all those goals converted into only one senior level appearance. There needs to be a better pathway between the youth and developmental teams and the first-team.
