Celtic have left themselves a lot of work to do on deadline day. The reports earlier this morning suggested that the Hoops were looking to do three more deals before the window closed. Well, so far they have not completed many. So, it will all be down to the final day. And that is always a nervy situation to be in, with it being a race against time to get things over the line.
Celtic are working on signing Kasper Dolberg at the moment. The positive is that he was left out of Anderlecht's starting XI this weekend, which suggests that an exit might be close. Although, with Borussia Monchengladbach also being linked, that does not necessarily mean that a move to Parkhead is all but done. Let's see how things play out.
On the other hand, Celtic fans were not particularly impressed with Michel-Ange Balikwisha's performance against the Rangers in his debut for the club. Some more depth might be needed on the flanks.
And it looks like Celtic are looking to sign at least one more winger. In fact, they have made an offer for one from the Premier League pretty much out of nowhere.
Celtic make offer for Crystal Palace winger out of nowhere
As reported by Anthony Joseph, Celtic and Rangers have made loan offers today for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. Earlier today, Leicester City had made a loan bid for the 22-year-old as well, but both Glasgow clubs and Lyon entered the race this afternoon.
Rak-Sakyi was part of the youth ranks at Chelsea before making his move to Crystal Palace. He has made 10 senior appearances for the Eagles.
He has played most of his football at the lower levels, out on loan. And now, it looks like he could be headed for the exit door once again.
