All eyes are on the upcoming game between Celtic and Red Star Belgrade, as the Hoops look to kick off their Europa League campaign with a win. This is one of the toughest away trips in European football though. If Brendan Rodgers' side are to have any chance of winning on the night, they will not only have to deal with the opposition but the atmosphere as well.

It is very clear that Celtic would have preferred to be playing Champions League football right now. It is what it is though, and an away trip to Red Star Belgrade is certainly one of the unique things worth looking forward to.

Of course, Celtic have plenty of big games on their calendar already. One of them is against the Rangers in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup. The Hoops booked their Hampden Park date with a win over Partick Thistle at the weekend.

Now, there is some more information available about that game. As announced by the club, the semi-final against Rangers will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, 2nd November.

That is a tough match to predict, to be very honest. Yes, the Rangers have been terrible at the start of the season. That was true when the two sides met at Ibrox recently though, and it turned out to be a goalless draw with neither team even coming particularly close to winning.

And in recent times, even though the Rangers have struggled for years now, they do have a decent record against Celtic. They seem to be becoming a bogey team for the Hoops and a puzzle that Brendan Rodgers is struggling to crack.

One can only hope that the run ends when the two teams meet at Hampden Park next. The Hoops need to win the first trophy of the season to boost confidence.
