There has not been much positive news around Celtic in recent weeks. It has mostly been about the failed summer transfer window and the aftermath of it. The fans seem to want changes at Parkhead and are planning to remain out of the Rugby Park stands for the first twelve minutes of the game this weekend.

Of course, it is never good to have empty stands, even if for only twelve minutes. But the supporters feel that it will prove a point to the board. One can only hope that that is the case.

On the other hand, there is some positive news ahead of the game against Kilmarnock as well. It comes in the form of a fitness boost.

Kieran Tierney had to pull out of Scotland national duty during the recent international break. That led to fears that the left-back had picked up another injury. Of course, he has an extensive history of them. But Celtic posted pictures of their training session on Instagram today and he was involved, which is great news.

Of course, it is still possible that Brendan Rodgers might opt not to take any risks with Tierney's fitness and give him a rest against Kilmarnock, especially keeping the Rugby Park pitch in mind. But at least it has been confirmed that the left-back is not out injured and is taking part in training.

Celtic have bigger problems on the other flank though. Alistair Johnston is out injured for the next few months at least. On the other hand, Anthony Ralston was pictured in a protective boot recently, and he also had to pull out of Scotland duty.

So, it remains to be seen if Rodgers gives Colby Donovan a start against Kilmarnock. Marcelo Saracchi has the ability to play there as well though, and it is more likely that the manager will go for his experience.
