With the season over, things are starting to heat up in the transfer market. A lot of players could be on the move at Celtic. On the other hand, the club are believed to have plenty of potential signings on their radar as well. Of course, some exits won't have much of an effect on Brendan Rodgers' team. Others could be less than ideal.

One player who has been linked with a move away from Celtic this summer is Daizen Maeda. He was the best player at Parkhead and in Scotland in the 24/25 season.

Maeda scored 33 goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions last season. Naturally, that kind of form has caught the eye of teams.

Celtic fans would not want to see Maeda leave but there is also the understanding that the club will always be open to a move, if the right offer is on the table. And it looks like talks are underway over a potential exit.

As reported by Sozcu, Fenerbahce are very determined to complete the transfer of Maeda. Celtic started negotiations with the yellow-navy club at £25 million.

Reports in the Turkish media had previously suggested that Fenerbahce wanted to sign Maeda for a significantly lower figure than that. So, it remains to be seen if the club can reach an agreement over a move with Celtic.

Of course, if Celtic were ready to let Maeda go this summer, there would not be any lack of suitors. He has been linked with plenty of clubs from the Premier League as well. So, let's just wait and see how this entire saga plays out over the coming weeks and months.

One can only hope that the Japanese forward remains at Parkhead beyond this season. That being said, Celtic fans are used to seeing their best players leave and if Maeda did the same, it would not be the end of the world. Life goes on in Glasgow and quite successfully so for the green-and-white side.
