Celtic need to make additions this summer. But at the same time, they also need to part ways with a few of their players who are clearly not in Brendan Rodgers' plans. The Hoops' recruitment since the arrival of the Northern Irish manager has to be questioned as a lot of the recent signings have not looked like the right fit from the very beginning.

One name that falls under that category is Gustaf Lagerbielke. The Swedish international was signed from IF Elfsborg. He was barely involved in his debut campaign though, except for when Celtic had injury problems, and was sent out on loan last summer to FC Twente.

The hope was that Lagerbielke would do well enough to earn himself a permanent move to the Eredivisie. But after a bright start, his form faded away in the second half of the season.

Now, it looks like FC Twente are unlikely to consider another move for Lagerbielke, whether permanent or on loan. In fact, it appears that they have already found themselves a replacement and incidentally, he is a Rangers player.

As reported by @WFCGRONINGEN (via Twente Fans), Robin Propper has reached an agreement with the Enschede club. He will sign a three-season contract at De Grolsch Veste.

So, that most likely closes the door for Lagerbielke to end up at FC Twente. Let's see if Celtic are able to find him a new home this summer, because even if he returns to Parkhead, it is unlikely that he will have much of a role in Rodgers' team.

But Celtic do still need to sign a centre-back this summer. Auston Trusty failed to meet expectations after joining in a big-money move from Sheffield United. On the other hand, Liam Scales is not considered as someone good enough to be a regular starter for the Hoops.
