The January transfer window looks set to be one of the most important in Celtic's recent history. Wilfried Nancy's horror start to life at Parkhead has meant that the Hoops have lost ground in the Premiership and the Europa League, alongside missing out on their chance to clinch the Scottish League Cup as well.

Yet, it looks like the Celtic board is determined to stick with Nancy for the time being. That would mean that they will back him in the January transfer window in hopes that new signings will help the manager unlock the full potential of his system.

One thing Celtic still need is a striker. Johnny Kenny is not ready to lead the line for the Hoops. On the other hand, Kelechi Iheanacho has picked up another injury, immediately after returning from a long-term one.

So, signing another striker or two has to be near the top of the wishlist in January. What if the club look towards someone who is already a proven success in Scotland and Celtic?

As reported by The Celtic Star, Birmingham City remain interested in signing Hyun-jun Yang in January. They would apparently be open to Kyogo going in the other direction.

Let's see what the future holds for Yang. He has played a decent bit of football for the club recently. That being said, it is quite clear that he is not good enough to be a regular starter for Celtic. He was on the verge of leaving in the summer. Could that finally happen in January?

On the other hand, Kyogo struggled at Rennes and the same has happened at Birmingham City as well. Leaving Celtic was clearly a mistake and could he look to rectify that by making a return.
