Wilfried Nancy has lost his first four games as Celtic manager. That is absolutely unacceptable and the majority of the fanbase would have wanted to see him being shown the exit door after losing at the hands of Dundee United this week. That did not happen. Now, it remains to be seen if the club's strance will change if the upcoming Aberdeen matchup ends in defeat as well.

Nancy has shown no signs since arriving that he is ready for the job, both on and off the pitch. The results speak for themself. And his comments in the media have alienated a good portion of the support as well as he has come off as arrogant despite not having the pedigree to back it up.

Despite that, it is no surprise that the Celtic board have not sacked him yet. Doing so would be a public admission that they were wrong to make the appointment in the first place, going for an unproven manager when the circumstances were already challenging.

As reported by Sky Sports, Nancy has the full backing of the board, despite losing his opening four matches. The club chiefs are on board with the French manager's vision for Celtic and have been fully supportive of his desire to change the system immediately.

It looks like the club are putting all their eggs in the Nancy basket. Now, let's see if it ends up paying off or not.

This seems like a clear indication that Nancy will be in charge of the January transfer window. The hope might be that new signings will help his system come to life.

If results don't improve, common sense will need to prevail at some point. Unfortunately, we are not sure when that will be.
