It is safe to say that Celtic have a brilliant manager in place right now in the form of Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman might have left the fans disappointed with the manner in which he had left the club the first time around but he has certainly helped the Hoops progress, especially at the European level, since his return.

Celtic are set to take on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of a Champions League knockout phase tie next. That is undeniable progress.

The first time around Rodgers left, the one who was brought in to steady the ship was Neil Lennon. It would be safe to say that his managerial career has been on a downward trajectory in recent years.

That stint at Celtic ended on an unhappy note as the club failed to win 10IAR under his watch. He then had a confusing stint at Omonia Nicosia, where Lennon won silverware but was sacked soon afterwards. His next job was at Rapid Bucharesti, which turned out to be a complete flop.

The former Celtic manager is being linked with another Scottish club now. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Lennon and Stuart Kettlewell are among the early favourites to land the vacant Partick Thistle job.

Kris Doolan was sacked by the Scottish Championship club recently after a bad run of form. That means that Partick Thistle are without a manager right now.

Will Lennon be interested in taking a step down and managing in the Scottish second division? It is very possible that he might decide to move away from management altogether and just decide to focus on succeeding in the media, something which has emerged as a very popular route in recent years for former players and managers.
