In recent years, quite a few familiar faces have made a return to Celtic Park. In the summer of 2023, Brendan Rodgers was brought back for a second spell as the club's manager and it would be safe to say that the Hoops are progressing nicely under his management. They made it to the knockout phase of the Champions League for the first time in the decade and narrowly lost to Bayern Munich over two legs.
Jota also completed a Celtic return this winter. The Portuguese winter left 18 months ago but found out that the grass was not greener on the other side. After failed spells at Al-Ittihad and Rennes, he is back at Parkhead and doing well.
Kieran Tierney will also make a return to Celtic in the summer. A pre-contract agreement is in place with the Arsenal left-back, whose current deal runs out at the end of the campaign.
Amid all this, another former Celtic player who has been linked with a Parkhead return on-and-off is Odsonne Edouard. The Frenchman left for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021 and has found life tough in the Premier League.
Celtic hero frozen out by Premier League club amid return rumours
After three underwhelming seasons at Crystal Palace, Edouard was sent out on loan to Leicester City in the summer. His time there is proving to be a nightmare though.
Edouard has not featured in a Premier League game for Leicester City since early November. Since then, he has been on the bench just once while being completely left out of the squad most times.
It would be safe to say that things are not going as Edouard would have envisioned when he left Celtic. And if the Hoops pushed for it, a return might be on the cards.
