Celtic put out a much-changed team for their game against Dundee FC at Parkhead. The likes of Luis Palma, Yang Hyun-jun and Anthony Ralston were given starts. On the other hand, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor returned to the starting XI in some welcome news for the Hoops ahead of the upcoming Scottish League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen.

With so many changes being made, it was not a surprise that Celtic did not look at their best on the day. But they had enough in the tank to get a 2-0 win over Dundee FC to remain atop the Premiership table.

It was Alistair Johnston, who came on as a substitute in the second half, who scored the opener just minutes later. That was followed by a goal from a spot kick by Arne Engels to put the game to bed.

On the other hand, a lot of eyes were on the game between the Rangers and Aberdeen. And it would be safe to say that that one did not disappoint.

Aberdeen, who have gone toe-to-toe with Celtic so far this season, took the lead against the Rangers through Nicky Devlin. The Ibrox side equalised through Nedim Bajrami only to fall behind again, as Shayden Morris made the most of a loose ball that kindly fell to him in the box. And that's how it ended on the night.

Chris Sutton gave his immediate reaction to the result and did not hold back while describing the Rangers:

Celtic have a title challenge on their hands for sure but it is not from the team that you would have expected. Aberdeen have been much better than the Rangers and look like the real deal while one has to wonder if Philippe Clement's time as Ibrox boss will come to an end soon.
