Celtic are closing in on their sixth domestic treble in nine seasons, having booked their place in the Scottish Cup final recently. On the league front, Brendan Rodgers' side just need one more point to put the title race beyond the Rangers. Some eyes are already on the summer transfer window as well, as the Hoops are looking for ways to strengthen the squad further, especially with a Rangers takeover seemingly on the verge of taking place.

Making the right signings will be important for Celtic. But at the same time, they need to part ways with some players as well, ideally those who do not have much of a place in Rodgers' plans.

One name that falls under that category is that of Luis Palma. He is currently out on loan at Olympiacos, who are believed to have a €4 million buyout clause included in the deal. But it looks like his stay with the Greek club won't last beyond the current campaign.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Palma could be on his way back to Celtic Park this summer. Olympiacos manager Jose Luis Mendilibar has hinted that the Honduran international will be returning to Parkhead in the summer after his loan spell in Greece ends.

In the recent past, it had been claimed that Celtic are eager to part ways with Palma on a permanent basis this summer. But it looks like Olympiacos won't be the club signing him.

Palma has been on loan with the Greek club since the winter. But since then, he has not been able to make much of an impact for Olympiacos and it is understandable why they might not want to continued with him.

That does not mean that other clubs would not be interested in signing Palma. Let's see what the future holds for him.
