There are a few positions where Celtic need to strengthen this summer. One of them is left-back. Kieran Tierney will be making his return to Parkhead as a free agent and will undoubtedly be the first-choice starter whenever fit and available. Unfortunately, he has a history of injury issues. That means that the Hoops must have a reliable backup option as well. It is unclear who that will be.
Greg Taylor's contract is running out this summer and so far, he has not agreed an extension. He has also been linked with plenty of teams across Europe, and it is unlikely that he will stay.
On the other hand, Jeffrey Schlupp is available as a free agent at the end of his loan spell. Celtic are believed to be open to keeping him but there are several teams in the English Championship vying for his signature as well and will probably offer him a bigger role than he can expect at Parkhead.
As a result, Celtic should keep an eye out for left-backs. It looks like a former Aston Villa player has caught their eye.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are eyeing Harley Mills as backup for Tierney. Peterborough United are mulling over a £1 million approach from Fulham.
It is safe to say that Mills has enjoyed quite the meteoric rise. At the start of last season, he was playing non-league football. Now, he is drawing interest from clubs like Celtic and Fulham. It remains to be seen where he ends up but an exit looks likely.
Of course, one cannot expect someone like Mills to come in and make an immediate impact at Celtic. But as a cover option for Tierney, and a potential future starter, he could be a solid addition.
