It looks like the wait is finally over. Celtic fans have been growing impatient with the lack of transfer activity at Parkhead over the past several weeks while they have seen other clubs make one addition after another. As has often been the case over the years, the Hoops have allowed things to drag on until late in the window. But it appears that a deal is now almost over the line.

Celtic still need to make multiple additions. It is believed that they are looking to sign four to five more players before the window closes. And they have finally found an agreement with one of their long-term targets.

The player we are talking about is none other than Michel-Ange Balikwisha. The Belgian winger has been on the Hoops' radar since last summer and should be a Celtic player very soon.

As reported by Sacha Tavolieri, Balikwisha has decided to sign for Celtic. After a last meeting with the Scottish officials, the winger has been convinced by the project. An agreement in principle on personal terms has also been found. The deal is expected to be completed in the next days.

This is a move that has been in the making for a long time now. It is good to see that while it has taken time, at least the move is set to materialise, if the report is accurate.

Balikwisha is a signing that Celtic needed to make, considering their lack of options on the wings due to the departure of Nicolas Kuhn and the long-term injury Jota is still recovering from. Now, it remains to be seen when the move is officially completed and how the Belgian will adjust to the Scottish Premiership.

Other than Balikwisha, Celtic are working on other deals at the moment as well. In fact, it is believed that they have made a loan offer to Boca Juniors about Uruguayan left-back Marcelo Saracchi.
