After 30 Premier League games, Tottenham Hotspur find themselves sitting at 14th in the table. This is not what Ange Postecoglou would have envisioned when he left Celtic to join Spurs in the summer of 2023. Before this, the Australian had been successful wherever he had been but even he seems incapable of bringing silverware to the London club.

Tottenham Hotspur have shown a lot of patience with Postecoglou. Even legendary managers like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte were not given as much time to turn things around.

Now, it looks like the Europa League is Postecoglou's only remaining hope. It is likely that Postecoglou will be sacked in the summer but if he is successful in winning a trophy with Tottenham Hotspur, one would imagine that the club would have little choice but to continue with the Australian.

Due to Postecoglou's struggles with Tottenham Hotspur, questions are being raised about his successes while at Celtic as well. As reported by the Daily Record, Jamie O'Hara seems to reckon that he would do a better job as he said on talkSPORT:

"It's a myth. It's a myth. Any other manager at Tottenham Hotspur would have got the sack. He would have been gone. We've lost 16 games.

"You have got this Scotland manager who has done the business up in Scotland with the biggest budget and the best players, and play a style of football which is easy when he is playing against St Mirren and Kilmarnock.

"He had 10 good games at the start when he rocked up because we were in a hole and all of a sudden everyone loves him still. What are you talking about?

"Every team around us has sacked their manager. Every single team has sacked their manager around us. Every one of them. We're still there with Ange.

"I reckon I could take over and do a better job! Genuinely. Seriously."

Naturally, Celtic fans were not happy with O'Hara's comments. It is worth pointing out that no manager has been successful with Tottenham Hotspur in their recent history.

Also, it would be a mistake to overlook all the injury problems the club have been dealing with this season. Any other manager would have struggled under these circumstances. Perhaps that is why Tottenham Hotspur have stuck with the Australian until now.

It remains to be seen what the future holds. It does not take long for opinions to change in football. Winning the Europa League might turn everything around for Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur. Of course, that is a lot easier said than done.
