Luis Palma's Celtic career seems to be headed nowhere at the moment. He scored a brace for Honduras against Mexico during the recent international break and many would have hoped that that would result in increased playing time for the Hoops. But as club football returned, he was left out of Brendan Rodgers' matchday squad for the away trip to Hearts.

Palma's absence did not end up having a negative impact on the result. Celtic won 4-1 thanks to a brace from Adam Idah as well as goals from Kyogo and Nicolas Kuhn.

On the other hand, despite not being involved on the day, Palma has managed to get criticised by Celtic fans. And it is because of his recent social media activity.

As reported by the Daily Record, Palma posted an image on his Instagram story of him tuning in to the Copa Sudamericana meeting between Argentine side Racing Club and Brazil's Cruzeiro. The post was later deleted.

Now, just because Palma posted the picture of another game does not mean that he did not watch the one between Celtic and Hearts. But many believed that it was a way of him taking a subtle dig.

At the same time, it is not hard to understand why Palma might not be happy with his own situation at Celtic. He has shown enough at the international level to warrant some playing time for the club.

Unfortunately for him, it is hard for Rodgers to drop anyone currently, considering the form that they are in. Kuhn and Daizen Maeda have been unbelievably effective in front of goal. And Palma simply has not been able to do much when the chances have come around for him. Do not be surprised if a January exit materialises.
