Pretty much every summer, we are used to seeing key players leave Celtic. In 2023, it was Jota who departed, only to return 18 months later after failed stints at Al-Ittihad and Rennes. Last year, Matt O'Riley left for Brighton & Hove Albion and has struggled to make his presence felt there. Who will it be this time around?
There is a good probability that at least one superstar will depart Celtic this summer as well. Quite a few of them have been linked with moves away.
The likes of Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda are believed to be drawing interest from the Premier League. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate have been linked with moves away as well, having spent almost four seasons with the Hoops already.
So, which of them would Celtic fans be open to the idea of leaving in the summer? Well, we ran a poll recently and there was a clear answer to that question.
If one key player had to leave this summer, who would you prefer it to be?

Celtic fans name superstar they want gone this summer
Yes, over 58% fans wanted Kuhn to be the one to leave, if there were to be a superstar exit in the summer. 32.8% said Hatate. On the other hand, only 7.5% were open to the idea of Carter-Vickers leaving and 1.5% in the case of Maeda.
It goes without saying that the best-case scenario would be none of them leaving. They are all important parts of this team and have a key role in their successes this season, as Celtic close in on another treble. But then, there are some who feel this is the right time to part with Kuhn.
But then again, the reality of the Celtic model is that a lot of the time, key players have to leave in order to make room for the future. So, do not be surprised if Kuhn or someone else heads for the Parkhead exit door in the summer.
