It is safe to say that Celtic fans are not happy with the current situation at Parkhead and are of the belief that it could have been easily avoided if the board had done their job. It has been an unimpressive start to the campaign, to say the very least. In fact, they trail Hearts by two points and that is not the only thing worth worrying about.

Celtic look completely devoid of ideas going forward at the moment. They have scored eight goals in six league games. In comparison, Hearts have scored 15 times. Not only that, six of the other eleven teams in the Premiership have outscored the Hoops so far. That should never be the case.

A lot of that has to be down to the club's failure to replace Kyogo, who left in January, and then Adam Idah this summer. On top of that, Daizen Maeda looks like a shell of his former self after admitting that he wanted to leave in the recent transfer window.

The fans have arranged multiple events to let the board know about their dissatisfaction. They did not enter the stadium for the first twelve minutes in the game against Kilmarnock. And now, they are in the middle of a three-game silent protest.

Unfortunately, it looks like it is business as usual for some at Celtic Park and they don't seem to be reading the room, or even trying to. Recently, the club announced the brand new Henrik Larsson collection. The fan reaction was as you would have expected.

One Celtic fan wrote: "Meanwhile…the fans still wait to hear from the club on issues raised 4 weeks ago. Optics of this are not good whatsoever."

Another fan said: "Even using the king can’t fix the disconnection right now."

A third fan added: "Absolutely love Henrik but our club has become a clothing and merchandise brand."

That is an expected response from the fans. It is unfair on the part of the club to put out a Larsson collection amid these circumstances. Something like this should be the celebration of a legend's career. Instead, it has turned out to be another post where the supporters are letting their dissatisfaction be known.

The first thing that Celtic need to do right now is acknowledge the issues they have faced in recent times. Instead, what the fans have gotten is a statement that fell completely flat and Peter Lawwell explaining the transfer strategy while announcing record revenue and profits.
