Celtic are set to pull off one return this summer, as Kieran Tierney will arrive as a free agent at the end of his Arsenal contract. His arrival has already been teased in a recent video and a high-profile official announcement is expected to be made at the end of the season. After all, he is a club hero returning to his boyhood team, potentially with a Champions League medal in his suitcase.

Most Celtic fans are happy that Tierney is going to return. That being said, it does not mean that they want a number of other former players to be brought back as well.

Kyogo is someone who was excellent at Celtic Park but it looks like a large portion of the support has moved on. It is the same case with Odsonne Edouard as well.

We recently ran a poll, asking Celtic fans whether they would want to see Odsonne Edouard make a return. 69.2% were not interested in seeing it happen, while 30.8% were open to the idea of the French forward back at Parkhead.

Edouard was fantastic during his four seasons at Celtic. It has been the same amount of time since he has left the club. And it would be safe to say that he has been very underwhelming.

Edouard has never scored more than seven goals in a single Premier League campaign for Crystal Palace. He was sent out on loan to Leicester City in the summer but does not even make the matchday squad these days and has not featured in a long time.

Thus, it is not hard to understand why many Celtic fans might feel that there is no point signing Edouard. The club already have Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah, two very capable options up top. Bringing in a youngster for the third striker role would be best.
