Ideally, one would want Celtic to have a squad full of in-form players or ones coming off brilliant campaigns. But then, there are occasions when the club just have to part ways with some. Take this upcoming summer transfer window for example, with the likes of Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn, Reo Hatate, Arne Engels and more being linked with moves away from Parkhead.

Usually, fans want the club to keep hold of players who are performing well. But in the case of one, brilliant performances out on loan have not been enough to win over the Celtic support.

The player we are talking about is Marco Tilio. Currently out on loan at Melbourne City FC, the Australian winger has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists in his last 12 appearances. An impressive return for a player once compared to Phil Foden.

Yet, there have been suggestions that Celtic are willing to listen to offers for Tilio this summer. And when we ran a poll on the matter, more than 81% said they were happy with the fact.

Of course, another aspect that needs to be considered is Jota's long-term injury. Celtic need some depth on the wings. So, why not bring back Tilio and hand him that role following his impressive run of form on loan.

Yet, it looks like a large section of the support have already given up on Tilio and would not be concerned if he left the club on a permanent basis. It remains to be seen what the future holds.

One must say though, that if doing well out on loan does not translate to chances at Celtic, then what is the system even for? Is it just a way for players to catch the eye of clubs that might potentially sign them in the future?
