Celtic are believed to be looking to add to their ranks on the wings this January. Both Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn have been excellent contributors so far this season, providing both goals and assists in equal measure. But there is no other player in the current squad capable of challenging them for a spot in the starting XI.

James Forrest has been utilised as an impact sub and that is the role he will remain in moving forward. Yang Hyun-jun has gotten a few chances as well but has not really done enough.

Luis Palma is the one expected to leave next month. A regular starter upon arrival last season, he is barely getting any playing time right now. So, it might be time to part ways with there rumoured to be interest in his signature from the MLS.

If Palma did end up leaving Celtic, the club would need to sign a replacement. And it looks like a Belgian winger could end up at Parkhead, but not this January.

Celtic could sign Belgian winger in €5m transfer deal

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic could seal a £5 million deal to sign Michel-Ange Balikwisha next summer. The move is not expected to be made in January despite sources saying Rodgers is a big fan of his, as Royal Antwerp will only consider offers after the season.

Balikwisha was linked with a move to Celtic last summer as well. But he ended up getting injured very early on in the season and has only made his return to the pitch recently.

It remains to be seen though whether Celtic would be willing to wait until next summer to sign a winger. Especially if Palma does end up leaving the club in January. They have been linked with Bazoumana Toure and Jota as well.
