Every summer transfer window comes with a worry for Celtic fans. There is always the understanding that pretty much every player is available if the right transfer offer arrives at their table. We have seen the club's best leave on a consistent basis over the years. Odsonne Edouard and Kris Ajer in 2021, Jota in 2023, Matt O'Riley in 2024 and Kyogo last winter. That is just to name a few of the recent ones and the list goes on.
This summer is not expected to be any different. Celtic are on the verge of another treble and a number of their players have done well enough to draw interest from England and beyond.
One of their standout players this season has been Nicolas Kuhn. Admittedly, his form has not been as good in the second half of the campaign but Brendan Rodgers has stuck with the German winger, trusting his quality. But could this Scottish Cup final turn out to be his last game in a Celtic jersey?
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are bracing for interest and bids for Kuhn this summer. He is under contract with the Scottish champions until the summer of 2029.
Celtic bracing for bids for Brendan Rodgers favourite
Kuhn has struggled at times in the second half of the season, as he has looked somewhat devoid of confidence at times. That being said, we have seen some pretty good performances from him in recent weeks as well.
With Jota and Reo Hatate missing the Scottish Cup final, Celtic fans will be hoping that Kuhn steps up to the plate against Aberdeen. He certainly is someone capable of delivering on the big stage, as we have seen numerous times this season.
After that, we shall see what the future holds for Kuhn. He has been linked with a number of clubs in England and Germany, and a summer move is very possible, perhaps even likely.
