Celtic got ready for their upcoming Bayern Munich game in style with a 5-0 win over Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup. Daizen Maeda scored a hattrick and unfortunately, he will be suspended when the German giants come visiting Parkhead in midweek. The other goals came from Luke McCowan and Yang Hyun-jun, neither of whom is expected to start against the Bavarians.

That being said, the goals do help with the overall confidence and mood of the team going into the Bayern Munich game. That does not mean that there are not some worries as well though coming out of the match against Raith Rovers.

Paulo Bernardo started on the day but had to be subbed off. As a result, there are genuine worries about his fitness heading into the Bayern Munich matchup.

Brendan Rodgers had an update on Bernardo's situation after the game. While speaking to Premier Sports, the manager described his substitution as more of a precaution and said that the midfielder had rocked his ankle a bit but should be okay.

That will be a boost for Celtic ahead of the Bayern Munich game. Bernardo is someone who can make an impact, whether it be as a starter or as an impact sub.

It remains to be seen whether he will be involved when Bayern Munich come visiting or not. But judging from Rodgers' comments, it does not sound like a serious issue, which is the most important thing when it comes to any injury.

We wish Bernardo the best of luck. Hopefully, he is back to full fitness as soon as possible and if possible, features against Bayern Munich in midweek.

Now the focus can well and truly turn towards that match. Hopefully, Celtic will bring their A-game and then some.
