Celtic will be keen to avoid injury problems heading into the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen. One player is already certain to miss out, as Jota picked up a serious injury against Dundee United and will be out of action for six to nine months. On the other hand, the absence of Daizen Maeda and Cameron Carter-Vickers will worry the fans as well.

Both Maeda and Carter-Vickers are dealing with fitness issues. With not much time left between now and the Scottish Cup final, this is worrying news for Celtic.

There is a positive update on the situation though. It looks like Maeda and Carter-Vickers, both should be back very soon.

As reported by the Daily Record, Rodgers said regarding the status of Maeda:

"Daizen came in this morning with a little niggle. He trained, but we're keeping him here just to get him treatment just to make sure he's okay for the weekend and the following week. So there's no need to take any risk with him."

On the other hand, the manager said about the situation of Carter-Vickers, as reported by CeltsAreHere:

"Cam (Carter-Vickers) would miss this game, but hopefully, he will be okay for the weekend."

So, it looks like while both Carter-Vickers and Maeda are going to miss Celtic's next game, they should be fit in time to take on Aberdeen in the final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park later this month. And to be honest, that is the only game of consequence left on the Hoops' calendar. Hopefully, they are able to win it and complete a treble.

In order to do that, they must make sure that they keep their momentum going. Even though the Hoops have already won the league title, that should not be reason enough for them to let their guard down and drop points in the remaining games this season.

They need to go into the final on top form. Aberdeen are a side capable of causing an upset and should not be taken lightly at all.
