Celtic are looking to be busy this summer as they aim to strengthen Brendan Rodgers' squad. They have made some progress in that regard, having brought in Kieran Tierney, Ross Doohan and Isaac English already while moves for Benjamin Nygren and Callum Osmand are reported to have been agreed as well.

Celtic will also be looking to add to their forward line this summer. Evan Ferguson is someone they have been linked with quite heavily. But they have been handed a boost in the race to sign another Premier League player.

As reported by Football Insider, Aston Villa are ready to sanction transfers for Leander Dendoncker, Louie Barry and Kaine Kesler-Hayden by the end of this week. They have told the trio they are free to find new clubs.

Barry is someone Celtic were heavily linked with in the winter transfer window. Could the Hoops reignite their interest this summer now that the forward has become available?

Barry spent the first half of last season on loan at Stockport City and was excellent. He ended up joining Hull City on a temporary basis in the winter and unfortunately, that move did not work out for him.

After making just four appearances for Hull City, Barry suffered an injury that prevented him from playing again for the club. Now, it looks like Aston Villa are ready to say goodbye to the Englishman.

Barry has made only one appearance for Aston Villa so far and scored for the club as well. Could that prove to his last as well? We shall find out soon.

It would not come as a surprise if Celtic do end up reviving their interest in Barry. Not too long ago, he was one of the brightest prospects in English football and has the ability to play as a winger as well as a striker.

Barry spent most of his youth career at West Bromwich Albion before having a stint at FC Barcelona. It is after that he joined Aston Villa but has spent most of his time there out on loan in the lower leagues.
